Have been watching two lesser spottted woodpeckers on here this afternoon. The noise seems to come from above the cam but they fly to the tree on the left and back again!4.30pm.
Hi Aimee. Camera ok again at Suffolk. Its a perfectly constructed blackbirds nest, and earlier there was one egg in it. Second clutch I guess. Hope you have a good weekend, and same goes to Carol and Penny
Hi Sue, Aimee and Penny. Just thought I'd see what was happening on this cam, but it's down. Aimee, I must admit I've never been to Looe. The closest I've got is Polperro. It's a beautiful area all round there isn't it? Talland Bay is stunning. I imagine you must live quite close to the sea you lucky thing.
Hi again Aimee, I haven't managed to catch sight of the nest on the Suffolk cam. Whenever I log in the past couple of days it says temp fault. Will keep looking. I think on the sparrowhawk cam Dave is hoping for result today. I would love to see it happen, but won't be able to watch again now till about 4pm. Work/shopping, the usual boring stuff. 9.10am. Sue
Hi Sue, I'm fine thank you-hope you are too and Penny and Carol of course. Like you I have been watching the Sparrowhawk-she's certainly keeping everybody waiting isn't she! I do hope it all goes well. Have you any idea what bird would use the nest over on the Suffolk site-where the fox usually is? It's so neatly made.
Hiya Penny, its a small world. I live only 12 miles from Sleaford in a village just outside Grantham. Sorry didn't reply quicker but not logged into this camera since the baby bluetits fledged, have been glued to the sparrowhawk whenever possible. Hope you are ok, also Aimee and Carol.
I meant to do this earlier but better late than never! I just wanted to say thank you for letting us into your Bird Box-it has been a roller coaster ride bearing in mind the happenings at the beginning of May but all has turned out fine in the end. I really do hope that maybe we might see one of 'our' little ones at the feeder!!! Many thanks. Aimee.
What a wonderful programme this evening. Well done Dave. I am hooked! Aimee, you live in a fantastic place - I love Looe. Sue - where are you in Lincs? I was born in Sleaford. Carol - we often go through Westbury en route to Dorset so I will give you a wave next time. I am multi-tasking watching Springwatch and messaging. Interesting about the IOM - we often visit as one of my daughters lives there.
I too wish them luck. Lucky Aimee living in Cornwall! I'm in Box Carol. It seems I am OK to post messages now thanks Sue. I will be watching Springwatch as well as Sky plussing it!
Hi Aimee. Where abouts in Cornwall are you, you lucky thing? Cornwall is my favourite place on the planet. OK, that's 3 posts in a row, I'll shut up now!
Meant to say on my last post - I had a feeling they would all be gone when I logged on today. I do hope they'll be OK. I'm now suffering from Empty Nest Syndrome!
Ah thanks for the update, 9am on my break at work, just checked in and the silence is deafening??? It always surpises me with all that new life in there how the boxes are always left spotlessly clean. Good parents. You lucky thing Aimee, Cornwall is my most favourite part of the country. We holiday there every year. CarolW loves it too.
