I read in a paper that an actor had a heart attack at the Minack sometime over the weekend and died in hospital. My condolences to everyone who knew him.
Just watching some very lucky people at the Minack standing looking out onto a beautiful flat calm sea. (I don't mind if it's calm or rough, the sea in Cornwall is always beautiful!) Oh to be there right now!
Hi ounce2, I agree, it would be great if we could hear the plays as well as see them. I read in yesterday's paper that basking sharks are back in Cornish waters and one was spotted just offshore from the Minack the other day. It would be fantastic to see one on here!
1.35p.m. A man in a baseball cap just phoned a friend and waved at the webcam so he has obviously checked out this site before. Bet you didn't know someone else was watching you!

Thanks Carol, I am just about to take a look at the photos. I logged on earlier and the sun was shining beautifully on the Minack theatre, and the sea was so blue Oooooh!!! I could almost smell it. Tonight it looks like a packed house for the play.. I am ready for another Cornwall fix, but sadly I have to wait till september. Regards .. Sue
Hi Sue. Cornwall Cam is a website which posts daily (usually) photos of Cornwall, taken by a man who lives in Pool, near Redruth. It's great for people like you and me who wish they were living there. He gets round most, if not all, of the county so sometimes you get a lovely surprise if that day's photos are of a favourite place. Very occaisionally the photos are of places other than Cornwall, but not very often. Here is the link

Enjoy!
Hello again Carol. How exciting that you have been up close and personal to the Tangye's and shared a little bit of their heaven, if only all our lives could be like theirs. My hubby is well envious that you were able to actually feel the reality of life at Minack Cottage, if only for a short while, and oh boy what intricate diaries Derek must have kept. He must have logged every detail, how extraordinary. What a true love story they really had. Yes you can still find solitude in Cornwall as we spend hours just looking at the sea and never see a sole. We tend to wander off away from the crowds. You mentioned earlier there is a Cornwall Cams website. Would you mind please sending me the link so I can have a look. Many thanks ...Sue
