Here you will find the Telfair Skinks within our amphibian and reptile house at Durrell Wildlife Park.
You will find them most active around the following times (GMT):
- 10:30 to 11:00 - Morning feed
- 13:30 to 14:00 - Afternoon feed
The Telfair Skink is one of the largest lizards living in Mauritius. The Skink can attain a total length of over 40cm. Great progress is being made in our long term Mauritius reptile recovery programme with this species.

These skinks don,t seem to have a very nice place to live. A pair of boots and a tin mug. Can,t think for the life of me as to why they would need steps either. Surely they could do with some plants,sand and a small water pool.
