About
The King Harry Floating Bridge is an iconic part of Cornwall’s history. Established in 1888, it connects St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula with Feock, Truro and Falmouth by avoiding the alternative 27 mile route through Truro & Tresillian.
This camera gives an outstanding view around the River Fal on Cornwall's south coast.

Hi Tim, all ferry crew and staff
Thanks for the updates, much appreciated. We'll be down last 2 weeks in June, looks like you're going to be inundated with visitors in the coming weeks. Will be in touch when we plan to visit. Good luck to the ferryman doing the JOGLE. We'll miss the Fal Festival but will be there for the Int Sea Shanty Festival and for the Armed Forces Day. Looking forward to everything and seeing you guys again. Jayne xx
Thanks Ferryman xx Will miss

Hello all FBW's
I hope you are all well and looking forward to a long hot summer as we are expecting in Cornwall this year.
All is well at KHF and we have had a good start to the year considering the weather up country and local economic conditions. One of our ferryman is on his way up to Jon O Groats to pedal back to raise funds for Surf Action (this years ferry charity - helping veterans and families recover from the trauma of war)
We have changed chains and you can see one of the old chains on the beach, we have also got a more active mussel shack going on and you will probably notice Matt and his associate pottering about gathering and cleaning mussels and oysters.
We are looking forward to the start of the Fal River Festival again and hope if some of you are coming to Cornwall you will drop into see us.
Wishing you happy days,
Ferryman
Thanks for that Tim. I do
Thanks for that Tim. I do hope the Summer is OK. It can't come soon enough. Can you tell us what the old chains are used for. You did tell is once but as some of us are of more mature years one tends to forget. I know it haa something to do with mooring boats but there was a special name for them. Will have to wait till next year now before we visit again.
Have a good summer down there. Marion.
Thanks for the updates Tim.
Thanks for the updates Tim. Hope the Fal River festival goes well and the weather improves for it. Glad you are optimistic about the sun anyway! Unfortunately I don't have any plans to be near KHF this year - will have to make do with watching it online instead.
Thanks for the updates, l do
Thanks for the updates, l do hope we are going to get a summer. But won't hold my breath, l am going to Croatia in 2 weeks, to find some sun! We may be down in July if we are will come and say hi. Happy summer to all you guys & girls down on the KHF.
Morning Tim and all ferry
Morning Tim and all ferry fans. Thank you for the update Tim, it's always great to know what's happening down in ferry land. I hope you're right about the long hot summer, but there's nothing wrong with a bit of positivity! We will be down at the end of June so could you please arrange for some good weather then?
Good luck to the ferryman doing the JOGLE, sounds like a good charity. I thought you told me last year that you would be doing it again this month, but knowing me I've got that wrong lol!
Good luck to all concerned with the Fal River Festival. Wishing you all a prosperous summer, see you in June :-)
