About

The King Harry Floating Bridge is an iconic part of Cornwall’s history. Established in 1888, it connects St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula with Feock, Truro and Falmouth by avoiding the alternative 27 mile route through Truro & Tresillian.

This camera gives an outstanding view around the River Fal on Cornwall's south coast.

Submitted by CarolW on Tue, 29/11/2011 - 10:34.

Morning all from a wild and windy Wiltshire. Judith, we have had a few problems with our Virgin broadband today as well so perhaps it's nationwide.
Looking really rough out on the Fal. This is the first time I've ever seen white horses on the waves. Hope the ferry crew don't suffer seasickness!

Great idea of a calender.

Submitted by Ann on Tue, 29/11/2011 - 06:12.

Great idea of a calender. Need to see the Ferry, the reason for it, i.e the beautiful surrounding area, and also the people without whom the Big Blue Boy can't function..... xxxxx
Morning my good mates xxx

Thank you Tommy

Submitted by Virago on Mon, 28/11/2011 - 19:55.

Thanks for the photos Tommy, they are brilliant.

Also the calendar is a fantastic idea. It would be nice, as Carol says, to have a selection of the ferry, surrounding area and the staff. Keep us posted on the development.

Kind Regards, Jayne

Photos from Friday afternoon

Submitted by KingHarryTommy on Mon, 28/11/2011 - 15:47.

Afternoon all!

In case you missed it on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/kingharryferry) I've uploaded the pictures I took on Friday afternoon (when the weather was much nicer than it is today!) to Flickr.

You can see them here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/falriver/sets/72157628188973673/ - there's some good ones of the ferry in there.

Also, would do you think a KHF calendar is a good idea? And if you do would you want to see just pictures of the KHF or from all around the area?

Thanks!

Tommy

PS - I'll wave on my way in tomorrow morning if I remember!
