About

The King Harry Floating Bridge is an iconic part of Cornwall’s history. Established in 1888, it connects St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula with Feock, Truro and Falmouth by avoiding the alternative 27 mile route through Truro & Tresillian.

This camera gives an outstanding view around the River Fal on Cornwall's south coast.

Is it my imagination or is the Ferry looking a bit screw whif?

Submitted by Pamie on Tue, 21/05/2013 - 10:16.

Must be a bit of a wind down there today as the Ferry seems to be coming in sideways. Maybe he/she has been drinking (the Ferry again, not the Ferryman, ha ha!).

Hi Pam. Yes, by the look of the bushes and the plants on the patio slabs it is very windy down there today. In fact, it looks as if the ferry is going to end up in Falmouth lol!

I'll try not to get under your feet! Not small enough, so you shouldn't have a problem, ha ha. Will you give us the "royal" wave when you visit KHF? If so it will probably be when I am having my "nigh nighs" (sleep!). Maybe some kind soul will video it for those of us down the bottom of the world! Oh and don't forget to give the dogs a pat from us who can't be there, and also a big hug for the ferryman and his staff. xx

It's a long time since I've heard sleep referred to as 'nigh nighs'! :-)
