Tropical Cloud Forest

About
The Buenaventura Reserve is where the threatened El Oro Parakeet was discovered in 1980, and is well known as probably the richest ornithological site in south west Ecuador. This is a rare remnant tropical cloud forest at about 1000m altitude on the west slope of the Andes with a rich flora. A simple lodge was completed within the reserve in early 2004.
Hummingbird feeders by the public road are a popular attraction for local people - and now you too can see the birds, from the comfort of your home.
If you are lucky you could also catch a glimpse of two species of Toucans and the endearing Coati on the platform behind the bird feeder.

No camera working today?
It may be night of course - but I can't see any picture today: never mind I will try another day.
Nice to se
Nice to see the camera in such a great position and to see the birds are enjoying their water. Just out of interest: is there a food tray nearby - or I guess they just find food in the surrounding woodland? Keep up the good work - we are all enjoying watching this lovely scene.

To whomever - many thanks for putting my mind at rest and I am sure other people will be grateful to read your message.

They may be just catching them to band the hummers for research. Don't think anything bad is happening:)
EMERGENCY NOTICE - PLEASE READ NOTE FROM WATCHINGFROMAFAR
I am very concerned to read about a note that was written a few days ago ABOUT A POSSIBLE POACHER AND POSSIBLE HARM HAVING COME TO SOME OF THOSE BEAUTIFUL BIRDS - IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WHO CAN REASSURE US THAT SOMETHING IS BEING DONE TO SAFEGUARD THE LIVES OF THOSE BIRDS AND THAT WE NEED WORRY NO MORE. YOUR REPLY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO REASSURE ALL THE PEOPLE IN THE UK. I have never had any problems before in viewing this remarkable site.
