About
Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is a Somerset based zoo just six miles from Bristol. The tapir house is resident to three Lowland Tapirs; Toby, Tara and their son Troy.
Toby and Tara arrived at Noah’s Ark in 2007 and in April 2009 they had their first baby, Troy. Troy is now reaching maturity so he will be off to a new home in the next couple of months.
The Tapirs are fed daily in the morning and you may see some visitors taking part in a keeper experience between 9.30- 10 am. The tapirs are also fed in the afternoon and fed outside at 2pm.

Hi all,
Heads of Ayr Farm Park have emailed me some pictures today of Troy's new lady friend Helen.
They are being introduced to one another and so far so good and hopefully they'll be put into the same enclosure together soon.
Thought you'd all like to see her so visit Noah's Ark Zoo Farm's Facebook page where I have added 2 pictures. She's gorgeous, Troy has done very well for himself!

Happy 3rd Birthday Troy!
Hi all,
I'm sure you all know but today is Troy's 3rd birthday. Our baby born on the webcam to Toby and Tara is now living at Heads of Ayr Park. We've been sent a recent picture of him which you can now see on Noah's Ark Zoo Farm's facebook page.
Hope you enjoy, remember people World Tapir Day on Friday! Visitors can enjoy meeting, feeding and learning about these amazing creatures at Noah's Ark at 2pm on Friday.

Baby Mara
Hi all,
Just to let you know our female Mara Marilyn that shares the enclosure with the tapirs has given birth to two babies. They are in the other den at the moment and are seperate but will be released out all together in the next few weeks so look out for the new arrivals. Their father is Marvin so he's also around, the other female Mara Mandy is pregant and due to give birth within the next month. No tapir babies unfortunately but baby Mara which are very cute!
