For over 40 years, surfers have been catching the best waves on the South Coast at Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers.

Bournemouth Bay has always been known as a safe surfing location and for its clean beaches. Bournemouth Pier has a longer ride than Boscombe. The most popular peak is on the East of the Pier, but there are sand bars on both sides of the pier.

Sorry to ursurp this wonderful webcam but if you go to the following link, you do get some of the sounds of the aircraft but you also get a commentary of what is going on. We saw several flying displays including the ill fated Red Arrows display. Later in the evening we saw the Beating of the Retreat and at 10pm the fireworks display. Well worth a look.

Thanks Marion, I was already using your link but year round I use this window. today sunday was just great, lovely weather, some great shoreline displays, brilliant commentries and realy cool flying, loved the end display with the Sea Vixen, brings back fond memories to me.

very pleased to see the weather was kind to you today, I saw quite a number of aircraft flying across the bay, such as the Red Arrows and the BBMF Lancaster.
I just wish I could have been there on the beach.
